Dr Giulia Hardy is the joint founder of Prime Counselling along with her husband Martin Hardy.  Dr Giulia Hardy first came up with the idea to promote and use online counselling services while working in Australia as a Psychologist from 2007 to 2008.

Dr Hardy was a full time psychologist of a well known Western Australian Psychology corporation.  She travelled very often to remote areas of the Australian bush to assist in psychological support.  It was during this time she realised a potential project to create online services to help reach people who could not readily reach a counsellor / psychologist. 

At the end of 2008 Giulia Hardy returned to Italy to start realising Prime Counselling.  The first step was to setup a studio in Rome for traditional appointments.  After the inauguration of the studio work began on the website.  By the end of 2009 live testing of the website was well underway.  By March 2010 the website became live entering into the market of online web counselling.

Prime Counselling is currently involved in many various project in Rome, Italy:

• Donnadonna Onlus – Providing assistance to women with eating disorders.
• ESK System / Rome City Council  – Self Defence for Women – Providing support and theoretical workshops
• Colloboration with the Ohana Counseling Service, the English speaking community and English speaking schools of Rome, participating every year in the annual conference on Emotional Well Being.
• Churches of Rome – Various conferences and workshops.
